Temple Theatre’s Stones in His Pockets will run Oct 15 – Nov 1

76If you need a good laugh, this is the show for you! Stones in His Pockets, by Marie Jones, is the story of a Hollywood film crew descending on a small rural village in Ireland to film an epic historical film.  Two of the villagers, one of whom dreams of becoming a scriptwriter and the other one an actor, see this as their opportunity to break into Hollywood by becoming extras in the film.  This ‘sad, hilarious and irresistible’ tale shines a light on what impassions us and becomes our purpose in life.

Two men, 15 characters, 1,000 laughs.  Come see for yourself!

Stones in His Pockets opens Thursday, October 15, and runs through Sunday, November 1, 2009.

The Reviews are in:

‘Stones…is all about the acting, and the work done by Michael Brocki and Derrick Ivey is not only impressive, it raises that age-old question, “How in the world is Sanford attracting actors like this?” Billy Liggett, The Sanford Herald

‘Stones in His Pockets ups the ante traditionally associated with intimate theatre…with little more than the removal of a cap or a coat, Ivey and Brocki effectively distinquish between the colorful villagers of a small Irish town and denizens of the film industry there to make a major motion picture.’ Byron Woods, Durham’s The Independent

‘Stones in His Pockets is a definite must-see…Michael Brocki and Derrick Ivey make each character look effortless and brilliant in their performances…’ Michael Jones, Special to The Pilot, ThePilot.com
