The Wizard of Oz concert and screening
The North Carolina Symphony is taking Triangle families and movie lovers over the rainbow when Koka Booth Amphitheatre is transformed into the Emerald City, July 10. Enjoy The Wizard of Oz on the big screen while the orchestra under the baton of guest conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos performs the timeless soundtrack live on stage.
The concert and screening take place at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary’s Regency Park, Saturday, July 10, at 8:30 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with children 12 and under admitted free.
Dorothy and Glinda are among the colorful characters joining the Symphony under the pines, and children and patrons dressed as their favorite Wizard of Oz characters will be eligible to win prizes. Audience members can also win a gift package provided by Whole Foods Market in Cary as part of the Symphony’s summer-long Picnic of the Week contest. Tickets to The Wizard of Oz are $20 and $25. Koka Booth Amphitheatre is located at the Tryon Road exit off US-1, at 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary, NC 27518.
