Lust, Revenge, and Obsession Loom Large in Little Green Pig’s “Redghost”

Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern RedghostLittle Green Pig Theatrical Concern will kick of its sixth season with an original adaptation of REDGHOST by Ganesha, a legendary Japanese ghost story, on Sept. 9-12 and 15-18 at Common Ground Theatre in Durham, NC. Common Ground managing direct Rachel Klem will direct a Little Green Pig cast that includes Monica Byrne, Hilary Edwards, John Jimerson, Alphonse Nicholson, and Gary Watts.

According to Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern:

“[REDGHOST is] An original adaptation of one of Japan’s best-known and most terrifying ghost stories, Yotsuya Kaidan. Revenge, lust, obsession, and the fast track to Hell.”

In addition to director Rachel Klem, the creative team for the opener of Little Green Pig’s “Japanese Season” includes designers Chelsea Kurtzman, Steve Tell, and Stephanie Waaser and composer Jonny Tunnell. REDGHOST will be underwritten by Mike Feezor and Matt Zafirovski.

Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern presents REDGHOST at 8 p.m. Sept. 9-11 and 15-18 and 2 p.m. Sept. 12 and 19 at Common Ground Theatre, 4815B Hillsborough Rd., Durham, North Carolina 27705.

TICKETS: $12 Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday and $15 Friday and Saturday, except $8 Student Rush Tickets (sold one hour before curtain).
