Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Barbecue in the Triangle
Triangle Arts and Entertainment is pleased to announce the winner of our 2011 Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Barbecue in the Triangle.
Although a technical error extended voting past midnight, all fan votes were accounted for. This year’s First Place award goes to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, locations in Cary, Durham and downtown Raleigh. More than 3,000 votes were cast in the competition, a testament to how serious people are about their barbecue in the Triangle area.
Following the winner, the next top five finalists are Red Hot & Blue, Aviator Smoke House, The Pit – Authentic Barbecue, Smithfield’s Chicken N Bar-B-Q and Stephenson’s Bar-B-Que. Congratulations to all the finalists!
