THE CAROLINA THEATRE IN DURHAM ANNOUNCES 2011-2012 STAR SERIES

The Carolina Theatre of Durham, Inc. today announced its 2011-12 Star Series with 23 outstanding performances in a newly-renovated Fletcher Hall beginning October 1 with a concert by Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham. Highlights include concerts by Sweet Honey in the Rock and Aaron Neville, comedy by Mike Birbiglia, and a performance by actress and author Carrie Fisher.

The Triangle’s 2011 fall social season will kick off on Saturday evening, September 17, 2011 with North Carolina Opera’s Gala, our largest fundraiser of the season. Set in the luxurious, internationally-recognized Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NCO’s inaugural gala promises to be one of the most talked about events of the year. With only 200 seats available-and over a third of the tickets already sold-this vibrant evening will include lively entertainment, performances by noted opera singers, fantastic food, a live and silent auction, and much more.
