Common Ground Theatre Fall Line Up

DURHAM, NC – Common Ground Theatre (www.cgtheatre.com) is a performance and teaching space located in west Durham, offering performing arts and educational groups a flexible, well-equipped alternative space.  The Theatre provides a convenient venue for Triangle audiences to experience the diversity of our area’s arts and educational offerings. Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern Presents: Glass
Adapted from Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, this new telling overlays J.D. Salinger’s Glass family with the Wingfields. Two of the mid-20th century’s greatest dysfunctional families bring firepower and grace to this re-imagined modern classic in the style of Little Green Pig’s Three Sisters (On Ice) and A Streetcar Named Desire.

Coming on the heels of the highly successful City of Medicine, Transactors Improv Co. is proud to present The Professors – a brand new serial set at a Triangle-area institution of higher learning. The Forgotten
This 1-night only art show will feature the work of local artist Geraud Staton, all based on things forgotten. These things will range from ancient myths to lost arts. Geraud is giving 10% of all 2011-2012 art income to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, however, for this event a full 25% of all original painting sales will go directly to this incredibly worthy charity!

Local filmmaker Jeffrey Moore and Common Ground Theatre owner Rachel Klem team up to present this interactive, holiday entertainment. Set in West Durham, A Trailer Park Christmas follows the Dodson/ Hussy family as they grapple with crazy neighbors, ghosts, fruitcakes and a holiday tornado.
