The R-rated 54-year-old 6’2″ whisky-swilling, cigar-chomping country comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White will bring his Moral Compass Tour 2011 to the Durham Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 10, for a 7:30 p.m. show, which co-stars Robert Hawkins. The show is SOLD OUT.
According to the Durham Performing Arts Center:
“Comedian Ron White is best known as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the ‘Blue Collar Comedy’ phenomenon [touring with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy]. But with two Grammy® nominations, a Gold Record, three of the top-rated one-hour TV specials in Comedy Central’s history, a book that appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List [Ron ‘Tater Salad’ White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent … But I Didn’t Have the Ability], and CD and DVD sales of over 10 million units, Ron has established himself as a star in his own right.
“Over the past five years he has been one of the top three grossing comedians on tour in the United States.
“In business, Ron co-founded his own media company Organica Media Group (OMG), along with acclaimed producer Michael Blakey….
“Ron White will be using IMAG (big screens) to give everyone the best view possible.”
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a short set by Robert Hawkins, followed at 7:50 by a set by Ron White. The Moral Compass Tour 2011 will end at approximately 9 p.m.
