Aviator Brewing Company Finalist Best Brew in Triangle

best brew in the triangle finalist 2012

Aviator Brewing Company, finalist in Triangle Arts & Entertainment’s 2012 Reader’s Choice “Best Brew in the Triangle” Award, and it’s incredibly easy to see why. Actually, maybe we should say it’s easy to taste why; give one of the company’s unique beers a try, and you’ll see what we mean!

You’ll have a lot of beers to choose from, that’s for sure. Aviator strives to make a beer that’s just right for every taste and preference. Any time of the year, you can try six original and fantastic beers. One shining example is the BlackMamba Oatmeal Stout, a rich flavorful beer that combines two of the best things ever—chocolate taste and oatmeal smoothness. The Devil’s Tramping Ground Tripel is also amazing. It can be purchased in kegs and 22 ounce bottles and it’s a great, light tasting choice. We don’t know what to love most—its golden color, its fruity-then-spicy-then-sweet flavor, or the perfect amount of hops. If you like unique beers, then you’ll certainly get a kick out of the HotRod Red. This beer, an Irish red ale, has a hoppy flavor with just the perfect touch of sweetness and a slight dry finish.

We don’t want to spend too much time talking about these all-the-time beers, though—not when there are seasonals that you can only get every once in a while. Since fall is coming up, we’ll share the beer we’re most excited to taste—the OktoberBeast! Making its debut on September 1st, you better get it before it’s gone. If you like Marzen style beers, then this is the one for you. This beer is (literally!) a long time in the making; it goes through a long aging period, all to arrive at your palate with a high hopping rate and taste that can’t be beat.

You don’t have to take our word for it though. You are strongly encouraged to head out to Aviator Brewing Company for a tour. All you have to do is buy a beer (or a soft drink if you’re pregnant or under 21), and you’ll get to learn everything you ever wanted to know about how your favorite beer gets to you. Plus, you’ll get to drink some of these goodies in the process.
