What caught my eye right away were the bar stools which, thinking they resembled motorcycle seats, were actually drummer seats. They look like the old apple seats on a bike and I’ve never seen them in a bar setting – it was really cool. The wait staff was great – very helpful and attentive since we got there a bit early and we waited around a bit. We got a chance to taste their current brews on tap – EdelWeiss and Chunky Gal Amber – smooth and easy to drink!! We met up with Jon Bowman, one of the owners, who gave us a tour of their brewing facilities downstairs. He was proud to show off their keg washer and that they had one of the original kegs from a brewery way back when called “Smoky Mountain Brewery”. Those of you who knew the North Carolina craft beer market in the nineties might remember them.
