Sept. 3-7: Cirque Italia (Cirque Italia at Villa Latina Plaza [near International Foods] in Raleigh).

Sept. 16: “Cosmic Cocktails” (to celebrate the opening of “The Planets) (Carolina Ballet at the Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh).

Sept. 17-18: Bandaloop (a pioneer in vertical dance performance) (N.C. State Live [former NCSU Center Stage] in NCSU’s Stewart Theatre at NCSU in Raleigh).

Sept. 18: Meredith Dance Faculty Concert, featuring Sarah Adams Bean, Alyson Colwell-Waber, Carol Kyles Finley, and Eleanor Smith and guest artist Gerri Houlihan (Dance Project, Inc. in Jones Auditorium at Meredith College in Raleigh).

Sept. 18-19: “Tota Pulchra Es — You Are All Beautifulfeaturing Gaspard & Dancers, with the Mallarmé Chamber Players (Gaspard & Dancers in R.J. Reynolds Industries Theater on Duke University’s West Campus).

Sept. 19: North Carolina Dance Festival, featuring touring artists Anna Barker of Durham, Amy Love Beasley of Winston-Salem, Thomas DeFrantz of Durham, Karola Luttringhaus of Wilmington, and Jan Van Dyke of Greensboro and local artist Killian Manning (Dance Project, Inc. in Jones Auditorium at Meredith College in Raleigh).

Sept. 20: All Dance Festival, Ligon Middle School, Broughton High School, Rainbow Dance Company, Meredith College, Anna Renee Ohe, N.C. State University, and a group of Wake County public school dance educators (Dance Project, Inc. in Jones Auditorium at Meredith College in Raleigh).

Sept. 24-27: “The Planets,” a world premiere by Robert Weiss and Zalman Raffael (Carolina Ballet in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium). Langley Review.

Sept. 25: “Dholi Taro Bhangra: Dancing Under the Stars” (Hum Sub at Cypress Manor in Raleigh).

Sept. 25-26: “Lamentation Variation Project,” choreography and performance by UNC students, curated by Heather Tatreau (The Process Series in Gerrard Hall at UNC-Chapel Hill).

Sept. 26: “The Fringe Dwellers” (Cirque de Vol Studios in Burning Coal Theatre Company‘s Murphey School Auditorium in Raleigh).

Sept. 26: “Patricia Ibañez and Abel Harana: ‘Memoria Antigua’” (Duke Performances in R.J. Reynolds Industries Theater on Duke University’s West Campus).
