Twin City Stage will hold auditions for The Outsiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 11 at the Arts Council Theatre, 610 Coliseum Drive, Winston-Salem. No appointment is necessary.

Teen rivalry in a small Southern town sets the stage for this dramatic interpretation by Christopher Sergel of the novel by S. E. Hinton. Seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy, a Greaser on the wrong side of life, The Outsiders tells the story of the ongoing conflict between the underprivileged Greasers and the rich kid Socs in rural Oklahoma. When a territorial battle goes wrong, Ponyboy and his friends have to grow up quickly, holding on to their hope and their friends.

There are roles available for 9 males (ages 14-21), 3 females (ages 14-18), and 2 women and 3 men (ages 25-60).

Performance dates for The Outsiders are March 3-5. The March 3 & 4 performances are for school groups and will be performed at 9:30 am & 12 noon each day. The March 5 performance will be at 7 pm. All performances will be held at the Arts Council Theatre. For more information, please call Twin City Stage at (336) 748-0857 x209 or visit the website at www.twincitystage.org.
