Twin City Stage Announces the Cast of The Wizard of Oz

Twin City Stage is pleased to announce the cast and creative team of The Wizard of Oz, the theatre company’s spring musical, which will open Friday, April 15, at the Arts Council Theatre. More than 150 people auditioned for the show in early February and music rehearsals began this week.

Steven LaCosse, will direct the production, assisted by Randy Simmons. Margaret Gallagher will music direct. Bland Wade will design the set, with lighting design by Daniel Alvarez. Costumes will be designed by Justin Hall, with wig and make-up design by Caitlin Molloy. Melissa Peller will stage manage the production, assisted by Kevin Hampton. The cast is as follows:

Asher Ellis – Uncle Henry/Emerald City Guard

Cessily Evans – Miss Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West

Whisked into the magical Land of Oz by a terrible tornado, Dorothy and Toto embark on a strange and enchanting adventure to find a way home, meeting the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion – and the Wicked Witch of the West – along the way. As The London Times put it, “This is, to come out with it immediately, the most marvelous show.” The Law Offices of Timothy D. Welborn will sponsor the run of the show.
