Dec. 1-2: The Durham Nutcracker: A Re-Imagined Musical (Walltown Children’s Theatre in Durham).

Dec. 1-2: Carolina Ballet’s in The Nutcracker (Carolina Performing Arts in Memorial Hall at UNC-Chapel Hill).

Dec. 1-2: Nutcracker Dances (Infinity Ballet Theatre at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex).

Dec. 7: Revolutionaries in the Dark (an evening benefit gala) (ShaLeigh Dance Works in the Reality Ministries Ballroom in Durham).

Dec. 8: The Nutcracker (Triangle Youth Ballet at The Carolina Theatre of Durham, presented as part of the theater’s Arts Discovery Educational Series).

Dec. 11-13: Moscow Ballet’s The Great Russian Nutcracker (The Carolina Theatre of Durham).

Dec. 14-16, 18-23: The Nutcracker, featuring a live symphony orchestra (Carolina Ballet in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium).

Dec. 15: The Nutcracker Suite (Cary Ballet Conservatory at the Cary Arts Center in Cary, presented as part of the Marvelous Music Family Series).

Dec. 15: Nutcracker Tea Party (Holly Springs Performing Art Collective at the Holly Springs Cultural Center in Holly Springs).

Dec. 15-16: A Winter Gala, including a one-act version of The Nutcracker and selected contemporary works inspired by the season (Wake Forest Civic Ballet and Destiny Dance Institute at Heritage High School in Wake Forest). Potter Preview.

Dec. 17: Holiday Concert, with portions of The Nutcracker performed by the International Ballet Company (Philharmonic Association: Triangle Youth Music in Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh).

Dec. 20: Carol of the King: The Irish Christmas Dance Spectacular (McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center in Henderson).

Dec. 20: The Hip Hop Nutcracker, with special guest MC Kurtis Blow (Durham Performing Arts Center).

Dec. 29-30: The Nutcracker, featuring a live symphony orchestra (Carolina Ballet at the Durham Performing Arts Center).
