Jason Aldean “Ride All Night Tour”

Jason Aldean “Ride All Night Tour”

@ Walnut Creek September 13, 2019

Jason brought his “Ride All Night Tour” to us in Raleigh after playing his wife’s hometown in Charlotte at the PNC Music Pavilion the night before.

On this rain free night and a few songs in when the lights came back up, Jason has a long stick attached to his microphone with a green glowing dot at the end. He announces they are recording his upcoming video for “We Back” here with us at Walnut Creek. Tells the crowd they will have to play the song twice, switching out members of the band with said spotter sticks. Nothing like the bass player and one guitar player sporting six foot poles on the front of their instruments. The steel guitar and drums just have the stationary ones on their sides.

I can’t say the crowed gave the band the energy they expected or wanted for a music video. So we will see if they actually use the footage from the show.

The rest of the show is what you would expect from Jason. Hit after country hit from his 2005 self-titled debut album to his current 2018 album “Rearview Town”. Except for the little breaks to talk-up the video, Aldean was not too engaging. No little stories, just moved from one song into the next.

Regardless, Jason gave us a concert filled with the perfect mix of rockin’ anthems and country drinkin’ songs.
