Five Finger Death Punch
@ Greensboro Coliseum, November 22, 2019
5FDP is on tour again this year with openers; Three Days Grace, Bad Wolves and Fire From the Gods.
As expected with 5FDP, you get a full-blown stage production. The mixture of lights, lasers and pyrotechnics was a continual explosion with their high energy music and performance.
Moody’s steadfast vocals, switching between shouting, screaming and singing showed that his range and abilities haven’t faltered, even after more than a decade of nearly nonstop performances.
The setlist was one mixed with old favorites and newer hits, but nothing from their upcoming eighth album said to be releasing early next year.
The new drummer they found on Instagram of all places, Charlie Engen, seemed to fit in well and totally at home sitting under the big skull. Moody on the other hand, did have a slight problem with microphones throughout the night, mentioning to us as he went through three.
As an American band that loves America, Moody spoke out supporting our troops and first responders before performing their song Battle Born and Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s, Blue on Black.
5FDP donates a portion from every ticket sold on the tour to the GARY SINISE FOUNDATION which honors America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need.
The night was loud and heavy with happy fans.
