Drop by for a special afternoon with notable North Carolina artist William Mangum at the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh. On Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., meet the artist and watch him paint. At 1 p.m. Mangum will present a program about his new book North Carolina Beautiful, featuring 140 of his paintings that pay homage to the diversity and beauty of the Tar Heel State.
After the program the artist will sign copies of this 152-page volume that celebrates the state’s natural wonders, well-known landmarks and out-of-the-way places. Copies of North Carolina Beautiful are available in the Museum Shop for $65. An autographed copy of the book will make a delightful holiday gift.
