Tina Vance directs the full stage production of this literary masterpiece at the beautiful, new Cary Arts Center at 101 Dry Avenue in downtown Cary.

In the story, eight strangers are lured to an island off the English coast. Each guest arrives by boat, piloted by Greg Tarsa as Fred Narracott. Vera Claythorne, played by Maegan Mercer-Bourne thinks she is to be a secretary, but where is the employer?  Philip Lombard, played by Stuart Jonap and Anthony Marston played by Gus Allen are  under the impression they are to meet friends but, instead encounter a mysterious enemy.   Kurt Benrud as General MacKenzie and Bill LaFrankie as Sir Lawrence Wargrave attempt to make sense of the danger.  Brook North as William Blore arrives on the scene ready to provide police security for the estate  and soon learns that he too, needs protection.  Emily Brent played by Debra Grannan comes to the island seeking peace and quiet but  a sudden scream changes all that as Dr. Armstrong played by Tim Wiest realizes he is unable to save the first victim.

Even the cook (Candice Davies) and the butler (Gary Watts) are caught off-guard by the circumstances  that brought them to this isolated island and the fact that someone knows the truth about their dark past.

David Serxner will design the 1930′s era costumes and the set, designed by Glen Vance will capture a mood of a British Isles summer home.

Under the title Ten Little Indians, the book was first  published in the UK by the Collins Crime Club in November 1939. It is Christie’s best-selling novel with 100 million sales,  making it the world’s best-selling mystery ever, and one of the best-selling books of all time!  It has been adapted into several plays, films, and even a video game.

Don’t miss this classic “Who-Done-It” and see if you can solve the case!
