A rare opportunity to experience The Rocky Horror Show at midnight on Friday, August 24th! You know the movie as the longest-running theatrical release in history, now come experience the musical at a special late night benefit performance.
Come as you are or come dressed in your favorite Rocky-inspired attire to participate in the costume contest, sponsored by Boom! Magazine. Tickets for this special performance also include a participation bag and a glass of wine or beer.
Note: No discounts or Flex Passes apply for this special performance, but can be redeemed for all other performance of The Rocky Horror Show at Raleigh Little Theatre.
Costume contest details: Register in the lobby at the Boom! Magazine table between 11-11:30pm. Winner will be announced at 11:45pm on stage. All ticket buyers are eligible to participate. One individual winner will receive a $50 iTunes card, a year subscription from Boom! and four Flex Passes for RLT’s 2012-13 season.
Do’s:
- Dress up in a costume if the spirit moves you! Just don’t make fun of others if you’re not a fan of stockings, fishnets, etc.
- Dance in the aisles! Especially to the Time Warp, which requires no practice, just ‘do what it says in the song.’
- Participate in the play in a way that is complementary to the show, rather than shouting out lines just to show us how much of the play / movie you know by heart.
Don’t's
- Throw anything on stage. Not only could it be dangerous to the actors, but it may result in the show being stopped.
- Bring any food or drink in to the theater. This is the South, you know! We have lots of critters who would like a snack, so let’s make sure that they stay outside in the Rose Garden.
- Do anything that will spoil the experience for everyone else.
