TRIANGLE BLVD ANNOUNCES DATE FOR TRIANGLE RESTAURANT WEEK WINTER EVENT
6th Annual Event to Run January 21-27, 2013
Triangle Blvd., the Triangle region’s premier source for new media services, today announced the date of the 6th annual Triangle Restaurant Week winter event, set to run the week of January 21-27, 2013. During the event, participating restaurants within Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham and surrounding areas will offer a special, 2-course prix fixe lunch menu and/or 3-course prix fixe dinner menu each day they are open.
“We’re proud to present Triangle Restaurant Week’s sixth year running,” said John Mason, Operations Manager for Triangle Restaurant Week. “It’s amazing to see how far the event has come and we’re excited for this year’s line-up, our largest to date, featuring many new and returning venues.”
Since the inaugural winter event, Triangle Restaurant Week has grown to reach over 1.2 million residents and featured more than 85 of the region’s eateries, generating over $500k in additional revenue to the area’s restaurants.
“This January marks our sixth year participating in the bi-annual event,” said Sarig Agasi, owner of Zely & Ritz, organic bistro and wine bar in Raleigh, “This winter we’re looking forward to coming up with seasonal offerings which are native to North Carolina.”
During the largest foodie event in the Southeast, patrons will have the option of special, 2-course lunch offerings at $10 or 3-course dinner menus at $20 or $30, varying by location.
Coinciding with the announcement, Triangle Blvd also revealed the 2013 charity partner, Communities in Schools and Band Together. As partner, all proceeds from the 2013 winter event kick-off celebration, set to be held on Sunday, January 20, will go to the organization. As is tradition, the kick-off celebration will be open to the public.
Organizers are anticipating over 100 participating eateries during the winter event.
