Triangle Town Center Brings the Beach and Mountains to Raleigh!

Event Details

Raleigh, N.C. (February 7, 2017) – Triangle Town Center and Commons, the largest shopping destination
in the Triangle, is unveiling an interactive “North Carolina Beaches to Mountains” themed mural on
Thursday, February 16 from 10 – 11 a.m.
Designed by local artist Lisa Gaither, the mural will feature the Cape Lookout lighthouse, the Blue Ridge
mountains and other iconic North Carolina vistas. Shoppers and their families can show off their North
Carolina pride by snapping a photo at one of the mural’s unique interactive photo areas.
“We’re proud to work with a North Carolina artist to bring some of our state’s most beautiful landmarks
to life,” said Jennifer Jones, marketing director, Triangle Town Center. “While shopping at the mall,
families will love taking a ‘photo break’ and reminiscing about their favorite travels.”
Gaither’s previous design projects include a mini mural at the Raleigh Beer Garden, public art at C. Grace
Bar, a 3-D interactive street painting at Wake Medical Center and a 3-D interactive street painting for
First Night Raleigh.

“I am very excited to be working on this type of project in my hometown,” said Gaither. “My favorite
part of being an artist is sharing my love of art with the public.

This project encourages people to get
involved and to become a part of the illusion, it also showcases the beautiful state of North Carolina.”
Starting February 16, shoppers can find the “Beaches to Mountains” mural at Triangle Town Center.
