NRACT Will Present Robert Thomas Noll’s New Adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist”

The North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre will present a community-theater production of “Oliver Twist,” Robert Thomas Noll’s 2000 stage adaptation of the 1837-39 novel by Charles Dickens (1812-70), directed by Sally Kinka, on Nov. 30-Dec. 2; Dec. 7-9, and 14-16 in its small black-box theater in the Greystone Village Shopping Center, in north Raleigh, NC.

NCT’s “Oliver!” Really Earns Its Exclamation Point

The North Carolina Theatre‘s invigorating home-grown Broadway-style production of “Oliver!” really earns its exclamation point, with charismatic characterizations by a stellar cast led by Kevin Gray as Fagin and buoyant instrument accompaniment by musical director Edward G. Robinson and the NCT orchestra.

The North Carolina Theatre will present “Oliver!,” the 1960 West End and 1963 Broadway hit musical with music, lyrics, and book by Lionel Bart (1930-99), on July 17-22 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. This rollicking stage adaptation of the 1838 novel “Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens (1812-70) premiered on June 30, 1960 in London, where it ran for 2,618 performances.
