Hands for Haiti, a family friendly fundraiser for Haitian relief, will be held at Crossroads Entertainment on Friday, February 12, beginning at 4pm. Activities for all ages include CSI-like forensic science projects that allow visitors to create their own individual hand casting and a silent auction. A documentary of Haiti relief efforts will by introduced by Hearts with Haiti as well as a presentation from American Red Cross. Original artwork using local artists hand castings will be featured in a live auction at 9pm. Live music by the benevolent rock band Spot will play throughout the evening.
Crossroads Entertainment is located at 413 S. Brooks Street in Wake Forest, NC. The Hands for Haiti event is free and open to the public, although donations are being requested throughout the evening. 100% of the proceeds will go to Haiti relief efforts through Hearts with Haiti and American Red Cross.
Hands for Haiti is presented by Creative Arts Network for Community Action (CANCA). CANCA is gaining recognition in the community by organizing entertainment and activities that introduce children and people of all ages to varying forms of art.
