Kite Festival FREE

For kids of all ages, Bond Park’s 15th Annual Kite Festival is a fun way to spend the afternoon flying your kite. We will have an expert kite flyer on hand for stunt kite demonstrations. Certificates and special awards will be awarded in a variety of kite flying categories. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the fun begins at 1 p.m. For more, call (919) 469-4100.

Undaunted Heart: The True Story of a Southern Belle & a Yankee General

Charlie Chiklis passed away in August 2009, but his legacy lives on through his band, The Moonlighters. To celebrate his life, his music, and the contributions he gave to the Cary community, the Town of Cary and the Moonlighters are hosting a free swing dance and concert. Cary Ballet Company’s Spring Gala

Location: Cary Academy Fine & Performing Arts Center

Join CBC for its annual Spring Gala performances March 13. Classical and contemporary choreography from the faculty complements the program as well as a story ballet. A Ballerina Tea Party will be held for children at the matinee. Admission to the tea party includes punch, cookies, a keepsake souvenir and an opportunity to meet dancers for pictures & autographs.
