Band Together NC, a nonprofit organization that uses musical events to raise funds and awareness for select Triangle charities, has announced that the following seven individuals have been named to the organization’s Advisory Board:
- Todd Turner, Founder and Manager, Thomas Nelson, LLC
- Charles Petrie, Vice President, Sentinel Asset Management
- Kellie Falk-Tillett, Managing Partner and Principle, Drucker & Falk
- Chris Johnson, Owner, The Johnson Asfoury Group of Wells Fargo Advisors
- Jim Holmes, Partner, Trisure
- Kari Stoltz, Triangle Market President, Bank of America
- Harris Vaughan, Partner, Eckel & Vaughan
These newly appointed Advisory Board members join five other local professionals who were previously named to the group. The Advisory Board is charged with assisting with fundraising efforts and providing feedback and advice to the Board of Directors. Band Together NC Board Member Rich Lee, CEO of Hosted Solutions, serves as the group’s mentor and board liaison.
“We’re very pleased to have such a distinguished group of individuals on our inaugural Advisory Board,” said Danny Rosin, president and co-founder of Band Together NC. “Their connections and community involvement will help us grow awareness for the organization, our charity partner and our signature concert event.”
This year’s Band Together NC concert will be held May 22 outside Lincoln Theatre in downtown Raleigh and will benefit StepUP Ministry, an interfaith nonprofit organization that teaches low-income and homeless people to become self-sufficient. Michael Franti & Spearhead will headline the show, with The Old Ceremony and Eskimo One as supporting acts.
Tickets for the event are available through www.bandtogethernc.org and will be $22 in advance or $25 day of show. VIP tickets are $150. Sponsorships begin at the $150 level. Event attendees must be 21 years or older. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and performances will begin at 6 p.m.
