Gunawardane Color Cello United Arts Council

The United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County is pleased to feature the acrylics of Prabhath Gunawardane at the Wake County Commissioners Office until August 25, 2010. The office is located on the 11th floor of 336 Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.

Prabhath Gunawardane was born on the culturally rich island of Sri Lanka and started painting at a very young age with the encouragement of his parents and brother. Inspired by other artists and his imagination, his style is cultural and lyrical with a focus on color and a modern look.  Gunawardane migrated to the United States in 1991 and lived in Virginia before relocating to North Carolina in 2007.

This exhibition is made possible through a partnership with The United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County and the Wake County Comissioners Office.  For more information on the artist, visit www.srilakart.com To learn more about United Arts go to www.unitedarts.org
