Tiffany Young – Magnetic Moon Tour
November 12th at the Lincoln Theater
Tiffany Young was born Stephanie Young Hwang and raised in California. She was discovered by South Korean SM Entertainment at the age of 15. She packed her bags and moved there to train and become part of the group Girl’s Generation a couple of years later. After nine years with the group, in 2016 she decided to release as a solo artist her extended play, I Just Wanna Dance.
While remaining a member of Girl’s Generation she moved back to LA to pursue her solo career and released Remember Me, the theme song for the Pixar movie Coco in 2017.
We were able to have Tiffany here in Raleigh for her 18th show on her North America mini Magnetic Moon Tour.
She had a good crowd for a school night. The floor was full of young teens with parents and college fans. I am quite sure if it was a Friday or Saturday night, she would have packed the place.
Tiffany started out with two of her songs; Run for Your Life and Under My Skin. The show was what you would expect of a R&B pop diva. She gave a little dance, a lot of high notes and smiles. Performing a mixture of her own songs, some Girl’s Generation K-Pop as well as a few other covers for a 17 song set. She was friendly, talkative and interacting with the audience. Overall a good show.
