The coronavirus pandemic is forcing cancellations and postponements of spring productions, and driving N.C. arts organizations to the brink of bankruptcy
If you run an arts organization, and you haven’t yet filled out the Americans for the Arts fiscal impact survey, can you please do that ASAP? Just click https://www.americansforthearts.org/by-topic/disaster-preparedness/coronavirus-covid-19-resource-and-response-center#impact.
As of yesterday, only $300,000 in losses by Wake County arts organizations had been reported, which is low. Nathan McGaha from ARTS North Carolina is speaking with North Carolina lawmakers next week and needs this data ASAP!
If you’re an arts advocate, we need your help, too! Please visit https://artsnc.org/ and sign up for action alerts — we’re going to need your help to ask elected officials to make the arts a priority in recovery funding.
Thank you!
