Come see The Durham Savoyards, Ltd. re-invent the Gilbert and Sullivan Mikado’s sparkling wit and soaring musicality for a modern audience. Embracing a lead character being called a “cheap tailor,” the action starts at an avant-garde fashion show. Personalities clash, tempers flare, tables turn, and marvelous mayhem ensues as the models step off the runway and the patrons take the stage to portray the world’s most popular comic opera.
