Triangle Youth Orchestra has on their program a variety of crowd favorites including arrangements of Simple Gifts, Schubert’s Rosamunda Overture, and Brahms’s Hungarian Dance No.5 as well as Bruce Keller’s American Hymn.
Conductor of the Triangle Youth Symphony, McCrae Hardy, says that he chooses music that speaks to him personally as well as pieces that he says “challenge the musicians” and “reward the effort put into it”. The pieces Hardy has chosen for this fall program certainly fit those criteria. On TYS’s program are William Walton’s Crown Imperial March, Bach’s Little Fugue in G minor, and the first movement of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony. This challenging repertoire promises a rewarding concert both for the musicians and for the audience.
Tickets will be sold at the day of the concert and are available online through Eventbrite.
