The Board of Governors of the African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County is pleased to announce that Rocky Point, NC artist Ivey Hayes will be the Featured Artist for the third annual African American Cultural Festival in downtown Raleigh over Labor Day weekend.

Listenings Opening Reception – Feb 3

“Listenings” opening reception will take place THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 5-7 P.M. at the Block Gallery (222 W. Hargett St., Raleigh 27601). “Listenings” features printmaking by Christopher Williams, photography by Jimmy Williams, and in the 2nd floor cases, paintings by Heather Gordon. Highly renowned Music Maker artist, bluesman John Dee Holeman will be performing at the opening reception, and there will be a special screening of Block2 video “Reverberation I” by Ali Colleen Neff. The exhibition will be on display Feb. 3 – March 28, 2011.
